The block ID 43:6 has become the same as 43

I was doing some building on a server that only today made the switch from 1.4.2 to 1.4.4. Now this server is for those who are gifted in building and I just so happened to be near the end of a large scale project. I had been using the item ID 43:6 for quite a few parts of the build and today, after updating to 1.4.4, the 43:6 block became the same as 43 or two stone slabs stacked to form one block. It threw off the look of quite a few things. Although previously placed 43:6 blocks stayed the same, the new ones placed were the same as 43 blocks or two stacked stone slabs. Please fix this soon as I, and i'm sure many others would appreciate it.

According to http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values#Slabs_and_Double_Slabs the data values 43:6 (and 43:27) are not defined. So what do you expect when using not really existing materials ?

@Kumasasa - Strange, it sure looks from that page that 43:6 is defined as a double slab that uses the stone slab top for all sides, only obtainable through /give or inventory editing. You are right about 43:27, though.

After a quick test in SSP, it appears to be the case with any of the double slab blocks. The block given has the expected appearance in inventory, but its data value gets reset to 0 when placed.

I vaguely remember something related to this being mentioned on the wiki prior to 1.4, but I can't remember where I saw it.

For reference, the command I used was /give <myplayername> 43 6 6 and /give <myplayername> 43 6 5 (6 smooth double slabs and 6 stone brick double slabs)

(Sorry for the typo, I meant 43:7, not 43:27), nevertheless this issue is already multiple times reported.
