I download the new snapshots and it will freeze up at the mojang screen. I can still play 1.6.4 but not the snapshots!

First, you probably should have the latest java. But try this. Allow the splash screen to load on it's own and without touching it. It could be related to one I've submitted myself. It takes me over a minute to load.
