While minecarts moved just fine in 1.4.5pre (single player), ever since the release they started to move by discreet steps, each of these steps accompanied with a new minecart rolling sound (which causes stuttering sound too, but that's another bug)

Duplicate of MC-3490 , please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 30% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
Why is this fixed, when the the issue this issue duplicates is unresolved?
