[MC-366] The sounds for cows are cut off early instead of playing all the way through

Basically, the mooing and breathing noises made by cows are cut off a tad early instead of playing through entirely. The sound would go 'mmmmMMMOOOOOO-' instead of 'mmmmMMMOOOOOOOoooooo'. I assume this is a simple to fix problem.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
