Command block text formatting malfunctions

Before the update (snapshot), using for example "/say §7This is an example." would show "This is an example." in the chat, with text being coloured grey. In the snapshot however, Space sign seems to reset the formatting (so only "This" is in grey, the rest of the text is in generic white).
