When a piston gets powered and the block its moving gets also powered, the piston wont turn off, as you can see on the screenshot.
This is a Bug because its exceeding the naturally range of redstone.

Mac OSX 10.6.8
(Bug don't depend on operating system because its an Redstone Bug in Singleplayer and on Servers)
