I tried to enchant a fishing rod and i could not click on the enchantment.

How did you enchant the rod? Did you use an enchanting table, and anvil, an external editor, or the /give command? How were you trying to click on the enchantment? In an enchanting table or on the item itself? Was the fishing rod previously enchanted when you tried to enchant it?
