How to reproduce:
1. Start Minecraft
2. start a game
3. go into any menu.
this bug will happen every so often, and it will most likely drop your framerate to about 1 frame every 10 seconds

Nothing to see in console or in crash report.
You should install the AMD drivers for your graphics card, Gallium driver is known for it's instability.
