Please provide screenshots with debug screen (F3) enabled:
Center of the map (where you created it)
And where you are seeing the issue
Ok, will try to reproduce.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt
) here.
The map is of course only mapping a certain radius, see my screenshots.
(Made a red circle in one area of the world and a white cross on the other area).
If I move towards the white cross, it will be rendered on the map.
That's how the game mechanic works.
You can verify my theory be using a new map of the same scale as the first map in the center of your world. Please attach a screenshot of that new map.
Ok, but why do I have to look at the map in order for it to update? Maybe you could do something about that? Or is that how it's sopposed to be?
