[MC-396] Falling Through Half-Slabs

I was playing normally, and a chunck was missing and I was on top of wooden half slabs and when I re-logged I fell through them into water.

So the slabs where floating correct?

Yes they where floating just one block above water.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
