Getting stuck in the end

How can the end portal be deleted ?

Yeah, I think end portals should be placable in th end. Good for mapmakers too.

Again the question, how can exit portals in the end be destroyed / deleted ?

By an admin/someone with creative?

Game mode "SMP" != Creative !?
And how should admins (think you mean OPed players) destroy the portal ?
I really don't get it.

You cannot ever destroy the End Portal in SMP. Creative mode is required, which may imply that your server admins have deliberately destroyed it. That means it is not a bug.
@Kumasasa Perhaps he meant that he used to be able to teleport to the Nether from the End to escape it? That would be a bug, and he does say he can no longer do this starting from 1.4.4, so maybe it was fixed.

Closing this issue now.

1.) As Martin wrote: The return portal in the end is indestructable in vanilla Minecraft by normal users.
2.) It's not possible in 1.4.5, 1.4.2 or 1.3.2 create a Nether portal in the end - the obsidian blocks will simply catch fire instead spawning the portal.

the return portal is destructible in CREATIVE MODE.
by nether portal,I mean block 90. when you use the /give (player) 90 command.

Also, I accidently said end portals, instead of nether portals, that's why I changed it silently.

Robert, I still don't get your point.
What's the bug here ?

• That the end portal is destructive in creative mode ?

• That you cannot place a nether portal in the end in creative mode ?

Are you talking about creative mode (dying is pointless) or survival mode ?

Please clarify.
