Well I searched "Animals going through fences" and I did see that post, but because that post was version 1.4.2 of MC, and I thought it had been fixed since then, it didn't count as the same bug.

If you look carefully (it's not super obvious) you will see the complete list of affected versions, which does include 1.7.2. Thank you for your feedback though.

This issue has never been fixed. This report is resolved as a duplicate of MC-2025, which is the parent of the issue.
