if you are in a boat in water the hunger bar doesn't show

I think this is already changed in 1.7.2. With all the changes to boats. I even dare to say that you don't get hungry in boats. I think. But it's kinda annoying when you go hungry into a boat and then eat something. You don't really know if your hunger bar is full.
