Redstone repeater makes piston act funny

I was playing with redstone and i made a sand elevator. When i use a direct lever it elevates the sand but when i put a repeater their it stops working

I found out what is wrong. The gravity was changed so the piston is destroying the block

There is a bug. Levers make redstone torches instant.
