glass pane z-fighting with itself

If you make a line of 3 glass panes going west to east (the sun rising in the east and setting in the west) like in the picture, the middle glass pane has z-fighting with itself. Any glass pane that has 2 glass panes on opposite sides of it going west to east will have z-fighting, even if there are extra panes on the sides. Some examples are in the pictures.

This does not work if the panes are arranged going north to south.

This also is present with stained glass panes, although it does not z-fight with that strange hatching. If you move around, the texture with suddenly switch. This is hard to reproduce, but possible. You can tell that there are 2 textures in the middle because the middle appears to be more opaque than the area around it.

This does not appear to be present with iron bars, however.

In the pictures, the black wool show the blocks the glass panes are on. The yellow block shows the glass pane that is affected by the z-fighting

Can no longer confirm in 14w10b

Me neither in 14w10x.

Reopened. Regression reported in MC-76954 and confirmed.

Duplicate of/relates to MC-75016.

Isaac: That post is related to entities in the same position. This is about blocks.

Well then this report should be about all issues of this happening with blocks, not just glass panes.

Can't reproduce in 15w44b nor in 1.8.8. Fixed?

Most likely. Fixed somewhere between 1.8.8 and 1.7.4.
