Never had problem with 1.4.4, only when I updated to 1.4.5. Cart goes into walls and off track, but keeps going. Screen goes black when in walls and often seen off the track.

But it always worked, under any version, since I installed the program.
Now in some multiplayer internet games, it will make game play impossible.

I do not know how to close it out; however, the matter was resolved with the latest update. It now works like a charm, no bugs and the cart turns and rides smoothly. Awesome.
What so special at your tracks ? I have lots of similar tracks running underground, mostly going straight.
When going around corners I always remove the blocks inside the corner, because there the minecart will go through the wall.
