In 14w02b you have fixed the full screen error. But the only way to get full screen is running it still in 400x300 screen and then NEW -> in the world or server press F11 (Cannot go to Video Settings and full screen) I was the one who reported this bug the last 1.7.4 update. Have a Nice Day/Night/or whatever time your in. 🙂
