[MC-44723] After going back to an old version, superflat noww shows void particles

After changing the game version to an earlier one, my main superflat world now has void particles.

That's probably not a bug in 1.7.4 but a bug in the older version (what version excatly?).

And if you create a world in that version, using the same preset string, what do you get?

update: I found that while previously visited areas/chunks are still the same, newly generated chunks are normal i.e. the new chunks look like a normal world with biomes, caves, etc.

The world has changed from flatworld to a normal world, that explains the void particles.
But: Downgrading from newer versions to older versions may and will have undesired behavior, therefore this ticket is invalid.
