after exiting a boat, it is no longer possible to interact with it.
What I expected:
When exiting a boat, expected to be dropped in the vicinity, the boat still floating. I then expected to be able to push it around in the water, or right-click it to re-enter, or left-click/destroy it to drop the item.
What happened:
Instead either me or the boat was dropped some distance away, usually
about ten-ish blocks. The boat was usually still floating, making up-and down movements, but when I approached it again it proved to be immobile, no longer responding to clicking or touching. Instead I could position myself on top like any non-liquid block.
Steps to reproduce it:
1. use a boat
2. exit the boat via left-shift
3. position yourself in the boat's vicinity
4. enter the boat's position or click it

Glad I found this. I see the exact same issue all the time in Windows with v1.7.4 in SSP. Thought it was a symptom of MC-162. Easy to reproduce here. Just entered game, got in my boat, rode, exited, lost access to it. Attaching dump.

After boats suddenly behaving normally for a while it happened again, crash file attached now.

Just to be clear, this happens to me 100%, all the time, in SSP, on Windows 8/64. I get in the boat and ride. I get out and I get dumped back to where I got in (another ticket). When I swim back to the boat there is no interaction - it's an unbreakable, unmovable block. The only way to get the boat out of this condition is to exit game and come back in. At that point it comes back in about 20 blocks from where it was left (yet another ticket). In short, there's no point at all in taking a boat anywhere, so now I just swim. This started for me in v1.7. v1.6 was fine.
Cannot confirm. Boats behave as usual and expected.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (
