It's not really a bug but I want it to be fixed anyway the improved lighting engine from the 1.4 snapshots was pretty good, now my awesome build looks weird

Ah now I see your problem. Because your ceiling is made of slabs, the lighting is not correct. Unfortunately, this has already been reported (on several occasions). Before posting bugs please use the search function. Duplicate of MC-92.
I don't entirely understand. The lighting changes introduced in one of the 1.4 snapshots was scrapped, so there should be no differences between the lighting in 1.3 and 1.4.
