In Snapshot 12w49a assumed you could put levers in any object of redstone, as in dispensers, but you CAN'T put levers in the past pistons (I don't know if they can put in the normal pistons).
Please, fix this bug (really I don't know if this is a bug)
Pistons are transparent, thus not allowing the placement of redstone of all kinds onto them.
