Items that are not blocks do not render when dropped on the ground (maps, ingots, tools, etc.). I can still pick them up but they do not appear. Also, maps do not appear when placed in item frames.

cannot confirm items not rendering. Are you on fast graphics and 2d render?
EDIT: items dont render on fast graphics.
