When using the Fast Graphics setting dropped items are invisible. Blocks are not invisible however. Also as a side note when using Fancy the items don't have the 3D effect they use to.

Yes they sotopped it spinning in fancy but i dont know about fast sorry but mine isnt working with snapshot atm soz
