When I create a new map in survival mode (and creative mode), my character basically jitters and I'm unable to move to a different block - until I destroy the block that I'm standing on.
This has been going on since snapshot 12w49a.

I wouldn't say it's an exact duplicate of MC-2416; it's close, but I don't experience suffocation.
