Sign text is white on the left side and some entity color clipping errors

When I rotate the player in order to have a sign close to the right edge of the screen, the sign color turns white. When I have smooth lighting off I can clip the camera view through the right side of the blocks. When I get close to an entity or a transparent block, it turns white for a sec and then disappears.
