What I expected to happen was...:
No color change to status bars.
What actually happened was...:
The status bars changed to a purple tint.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an enchanted item (I was in survival and tested iron shovel and diamond pickaxe)
2. Place it in your 9th inventory slot. (only applys for 9th slot.)
3. Then the tint is changed.
4. Then damage the item and tint goes away.
