[MC-47748] Barrier does not update after breaking

I have tried to break a barrier in creative mode, something wired happened.

When I held my barrier in hand and I broke a barrier, the barrier block(or logo) was still there but the particle effect has appeared. When I walked into it, it sort of disappeared and the block is finally updated.

I think the block should be updated as normal. It would be great if it can be fixed because it is kind of werid.

The barrier you see, is a particle, the block has no render (work as intended ?)

But the "particle effect" should be ended after breaking, right? Just like the particle goes off after the potion effect ends.
That may cause confusion I think.

But anyway, thanks to your point of view. I haven't think of that before.

The way particle are define can't do that, particle have lifetime. Potion effect have a small lifetime, so you may not see stop immediately, but few <1s later. Barrier particle lifetime is much important, so you can clearly see disappear after a while.
