[MC-48721] Barrier won't show up when selected in toolbar

In the snapshot 14w06a, the ability to show barriers when selected in the toolbar while in creative mode was added. However, this will not work for me. Please help.

I have found a solution, however for some reason I do not have permission to delete this issue.

I believe the problem was that my particles setting was set to "minimum."
