Villagers activate stone pressure plates

Testing out a map, and the villager kept setting my spawn and giving me items. Couldn't get any good screenshots, sadly.

What's the bug ?

It's items that set off wooden pressure plates but not stone. Items, not villagers.

But a villager is not an item.
