FallingSand not showing when summoned from a command block

When I summon a FallingSand entity with a command block using /summon it doesn't show up until it hits the ground and turns into a block. The FallingSand entity shows when placing sand by hand. /summon FallingSand ~ ~10 ~ {Time:1}.
