[MC-49888] World bundled Resources Pack doesn't work on server

In Singleplayer the resources pack in my map work totally but when i put my map on server with the resources pack in it it doesn't work.

it works fine when a world with the same pack is in your own saves folder, else, it doesn't load the pack

I think that's a bug why it works on solo and not on multiplayer, It's a bug...

No, it's intended that the users chose resource pack themselves.
It's not intended to force the users to use aq certain resource pack.

This is actually quite buggy - if you use a map on Single Player that has a resources.zip in its folder and then log onto a server that has a map with resources.zip, the game will activate the pack from your single player map - and there's no way to disable it short of a client restart.

I'm actually having some trouble with this too, if your save file has a 'resources.zip' but you're using it on a server, it doesn't load anything, not even the downloadable resource pack in the server.properties

if you put a resourepack in the server file like:

server/world/resources.zip

it will not work most of the time

this feature has been introduced in 14w07a but it will only sometimes work in multiplayer, but always when used in singleplayer

not wanting to sound greedy, but perhaps I could be assigned reporter, as the only thing the actual reported did was create the issue and comment 2 times, didn't keep the versions up to date.

Damn, I thought this was intentional & that we were supposed to use the option in server.properties instead. Well, I'll be looking forward to this bug being fixed so that server resource packs can be easier! 😃

Please reopen this issue, I am unable to use resource packs bundled with the world on my 16w33a server. The comments seem unclear as to whether this is intentional or not, and the resolution says it's fixed, not works as intended. The same world folder loads with the resource pack on singleplayer.

Then change the resolution from "Fixed" to "Works as intended" so people don't get confused.

It didn't work at all at first, the fix made it so that it works THAT way.
