Random holes

In my test world on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, I keep finding random holes in my world. The biggest one I've found was about 30 blocks wide. It really annoys me because I have to patch them up. I have about five types of TNT cannons, and a couple days ago I blew up my unsuccessful redstone elevator.
