Sometimes gain normal world beacon effect in nether at matching coordinates

Setup a beacon in the real world, ie at 118/64/259. Activate one or two effect.

Go to the nether at the coordinate inside the the area of effect, ie at 118/any/259. In some case you will get the effect(s) of your beacon.

In order to validate the match with the beacon, I changed the power given by the beacon and come back in the nether : the effect also changed.

In order to get the effect rather each time, set up a portal in the nether within the area coordinates, then exit and enter back into the nether.

I've got the power each time i've entered the nether during writing this text (6 or 7 times).

When power was gain entering the nether, staying around the portal doing nothing make the power to dissapear after around 15-16 refreshments.

I didn't try anything to see if it works in the ender dimension.

I didn't find any open/working bug corresponding to this one, please pardon me if this is a duplicate.

By the way, I did add a comment on MC-48268, witch make me think both could be linked. Could it be something like : game think "the player is in the normal dimension", making both bug possible ? I guess it could also be totally different problems !

Hope it helps

Cannot confirm. Was in Nether at exactly the same coordinates as in overworld, but no effects.

Hi, did you try to create a portal, exit nether and come back again in the nether ?

No, will try.
Is your Overworld Portal in the range of the beacon ?

Can still not confirm.

Yes, the portal near the beacon is in the range of effect in the overworld. The one I create that give the effect isn't, of course.

Beacon : 118/64/259
Near portal : around 134 64 284 (in the range) going to 16/115/38 in the nether (no effect here)

Other portal : 1312/64/2055 in the overworld going to 163/115/258 in the nether (receiving effect here)

Confirmed for 1.10.2

Just noticed this for 1.13.2.

The overworld beacon at X Z coordinates gives me same effect in the nether at X Z coordinates (no x8).

Cannot reproduce on 1.14 with a map that were having this issue before.

Does anyone still have this issue in 1.14.2?

In my world, this does not happen in 1.14.2 in a place where I could reliably reproduce it in 1.13.2.
