On a Linux OS, I'm are unable to bind "special keys" as controls like grave and backslash. As I don't use WASD for my control, it became really difficult for us, non WASD player to play this game on a Linux system. From the past, it wasn't really a problem because, we could use it anyway as a general NONE used key.
Because If you try to bind it ingame, it will not do anything at first, but if you press it a second time you will bind that key to NONE.
But, since 1.7, keys that are bound to NONE cannot be used anymore! and so, the game became unlikely unplayable. And no, I can't play it on Windows or even Wine because, it is the only platform that support well java. On a Windows system, it always crash for me.
so if I were you, dear programmer, (I know what it is to do such a job) I would put this on hight priority. Because, it does not only affect Linux users but, every Unix users. Including Mac Os user I think.

why? and if its the case, will there be a way to correct this in the futur or simply, a way for me to modify that file?
At present I would recommend you try getting in contact with the devs of LWGJL and see if they are able to do anything about it. Mojang updates the libraries when needed, so if there are changes made they may include them.
Ok, Houston, we've got a problem. The LWJGL devs are not answering to any of my e-mail. So, it's kinda dead. What do we do?
it's okay. I found a tweak to fix this... I just add the US keyboard and play a little on it with KDE settings and it works. At least for the Grave key. Which is the one I use for my inventory.
Can't say for certain just yet, but almost guaranteed that your issue is with LWJGL, the libraries the Minecraft uses for graphics, audio and keybindings. It is therefore very unlikely that Mojang can do anything to correct this issue.
