[MC-51239] The beacon light/laser is bugged

i make a sv for 1.8 when i have the idea of put beacons with the laser in some glass i seen is bugged

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 14w19a / Launcher version 1.3.11 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Possible bug on effects from the beacon? I have a pyramid built, 4 beacons on top, 4 layers, inserted ingots, diamonds, and even emeralds. No effects are happening to my player either. In snapshot 14w31a, windows 8.1 64 bit
