[MC-52170] Ordinary zombies (not pigmen) spawning on the Nether

Ordinary zombies (green ones) are spawning in the Nether. Not a normal occurrence, but happened 3 times today. Restarted the game between tries.

Are there nether portals nearby they could be coming through?

This is definitely a major issue. They spawn as reinforcements for aggroed zombie pigmen. I´ve did some test runs and saw them spawn... actually quite frequently when there are aggroed ZP around... tested it with Iron Golems. then my best guesstimate would be that for every 80 or so ZP a regular zombie will spawn, spawning extras subsequently when attacked.

Overworld Mobs don't spawn in the nether at all. The zombie part is the bug. What are they? Zombies that drilled through bedrock?!? No way.
