Land stutters if more than 8 chunks area is loading

This problem has only occurred in the last day or two. From all the versions I have tested it on so far, all have had the same results. What happens is it only loads a few chunks of land, and the rest is gone. It will only load if I walk towards it, but once I walk away is goes away again. If I turn my camera 180, I actually see the proper amount of chunks, but it disappears after not even a second. it looks fine with only a few chunks, but if I want it to load over more than 8, if starts to bug out.
