Improvement: Half Slabs of Granite, Diorite, Andesite

I search for topics on this already created and found none. I also tried to make this as type=improvement, but it would not change they type. So here I go:

Prefix: I don't know about other people, but when building a countertop out of granite, in a real world scenario, I do not think we would use full blocks of it. Instead I would build a countertop out of slabs of granite.

Currently when you try to make half slabs of the new refined stone types, granite, and I believe, diorite, and andesite, you craft stone slabs instead of the slab of the new full blocks. I would love to use half slabs of the new blocks in a lot of my building projects that I have planned as they would match a granite wall and floor much better.
