[MC-52831] Broken Rain SoundFX

I am not sure if this is just me, but all the sounds on my minecraft seem to play fine except for the rain. It doesn't sound like rain, but rather, it sounds like someone swabbing both my ears with a Q-tip made of sandpaper.
I'd like to hear the game, but when I am outside in the rain it drowns all the other sounds out.

Cannot confirm. Rain sounds like always as a faint pink noise.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.

@unknown: Check you particles setting, there is no rain sound at setting "Minimum".

It works on other particle settings but since there is a slider for weather shouldn't it be considered as a bug? Also why when having particles off totally there is rain but not on the minimum setting? It's kinda confusing but it's such a minor bug I don't even bother 🙂
