[MC-52903] All Items missing

I have updated now to Minecraft 1.7.8, but when I went into my last game, all my items were missing out of my inventory & chests. Also all the Diorite, Andesite & Granite are gone.

Ok, if I go to the Issue Link (MC-45009) they're talking there about 14w03 &14w08, but I've updated to 1.7.8 from 14w11b, so can't see how it can be a downgrade. Please explain or supply pther issues links. Thank you.
