When entering fullscreen on Linux with dual-monitors, Minecraft will place it self on the main monitor (intended), however, it will take the resolution of all the monitors combined. This results in game displaying with half the content off the screen.
I have provided a screenshot demonstrating the issue. A simple fix would be an option to force a custom resolution for when the game is in fullscreen.

This is strongly related to MC-2067, but invalid, since most likely a OpenGL, graphics driver or LWJGL issue, but not a Minecraft issue.

This is very likely a LWJGL issue, feel free to report it on: https://github.com/LWJGL/lwjgl/issues
There is very little we can do.
And now I need a Github account to file a bug with LWJGL... I think I'll just write a mod.
Edit: MCP isn't available yet for MC 1.7.9. I think I'll just live with it.
This was an LWJGL bug related to the issue: https://github.com/LWJGL/lwjgl/issues/24
For anyone who is having this issue, there is a solution.
The solution is simple, first go to your keybindings and add a binding called "Fullscreen Fix" or whatever you want to call it. Next set the keybinding to F11 and make it execute the following command: wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -b toggle, fullscreen
Now reboot your system and start up Minecraft. It will now be fullscreened at the resolution of the monitor it is on (so the issue is solved)!
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (

) here.
