I made a piston-based music disc farm, but using the farm caused Minecraft to crash repeatedly. After some testing, I determined that the crashes were due to a piston moving while an arrow was on its head.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place piston face up
2. Shoot piston head with arrow
3. Use redstone to turn piston on
4. Watch Minecraft crash

Cannot confirm.
Please attach the crash report & screenshots.
These images show how to reproduce the crash. A crash will stuill occur with a regular piston. Just step on the pressure plate to crash the game.
The bow depicted is enchanted with Punch II, but this does not matter.
I have also attached a crash log.

Please attach the crash report from the directory .minecraft/crash-reports/

Cann still not reproduce. See my screenshots.
Please update your Java, it's way outdated.
You're using Java 6 U 26, current version is 7 U 10.

Redid test with sticky piston at no avail in reproducing.
Java 6 is still a popular version of JRE. If it's JRE6 specific and can be reproduced using JRE6, it should probably still be resolved. Differ to Mojang on what versions of JRE they are supporting.

Yes, but Java 6U26 nearly two years old. For the pure fact of security issues in older Java versions he should update.
I was unable to reproduce this after upgrading to Java 7U10.

Ok, thanks for the update.
