Redstone connection texture broken in resource packs

PLEASE READ: Whilst I know that this has been posted about before, detailed info was not provided so the resolution was not suitable.

When using any resource pack, the redstone texture does not connect properly. I tested this with multiple resource packs, and have the same problem in all of them. I have also tried opening the resource pack ZIP file, and confirmed that the correct texture matches the correct file name.

I believe that this issue may be related to a previous issue in which wool, when sheared from a sheep, gave the wrong color.

I have found this issue in all the snapshots since 14w17a, on Windows 7. Whilst I know other posts exist about this, all of them where labeled as duplicates of an issue affecting 1.5.1, and the solution stated that it was a problem with the resource pack we are using, which I have tested and know that it is not.

Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated as it is very annoying to work with as I have to keep turning off my resource pack. Thanks.
