when i try to break blocks with anything but tools (also certain blocks i cant break with tools) or my hand, the breaking animation will not show, and the player moving the item that it is holding(breaking animation with the player) well breaking will not show. this is so bad that i cannot break blocks at all and they just stay there.
in the picture where i am holding my axe i am holding down the mouse 1 button and trying to break the leaf
yet the animations work on a wood block
(note: this is very bad, and very prominent. i can break fire either!)

I know what you mean the same is happening with my minecraft but people don't believe me and say that i am on a server when i am not you try to mine the block but when you do it comes back again. please help me and we could get this sorted out together. please vote on my report as well.

Sounds like you're on Adventure mode (gamemode 2) rather than survival mode (gamemode 0). Yes the numbers start at zero not one. Minecraft does that a lot. Did you mistype a command?
/gamemode 0is what you should've typed.

jake I have the same problem as well. I have had the problem since 1.7.4 and also in 1.8 snapshots. I seem to get it in a view distance of 12 and above. and im not on a server im only on a single player world. no special mode or anything. but no one seem to believe me either.
