[MC-55189] Gold disappearing

I was mining and I found gold ore so I melted it to get gold ingots, afterwards I put those ingots in my chest. I left for about an hour and when I came back the gold had disappeared. I do not know how this happened all I ask is for gel to just get my 5 gold ingots back. Sadly I haven't an idea on how to reproduce the situation since it has never happened to me before.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.
