[MC-55261] Whitelist Broken? (NOT OFFLINE)

When doing the default whitelist addition command: /whitelist add <name>, I get the error: could not add <name> to the whitelist
I wasn't able to add the new players via the console nor the config file. Also keep in mind I was able to whitelist a few players before it randomly stopped working. -

SOLVED: WE WE'RE TYPING IGN'S THAT DIDN'T EXIST INTO THE CONSOLE, AND THAT'S WHY IT DIDN'T WORK: Apologies to the people we confused... our bad.

Cannot confirm. Are you able to go into the server.properties file?

@Blah – Yes, I am able to go into server.properties.

Also keep in mind that this happened randomly. 4-5 people were whitelisted before it stopped working.

Does the server.properties file show that offline-mode is off?

Online mode is enabled which I assume means the exact same thing as offline mode is disabled.

Hmm... don't know what could be causing the issue.

Anymore help? It's looking like the players already whitelisted are able to log onto the server.

I think that "test" dont fuction becuase a player name need to be 6 characters long at least
