Falling Water Glitch When Farming

While farming, legit hoes and seeds etc., you notice that the water seems to be a bit more active than usual. Upon closer inspection you notice that the water connecting to Farm blocks (plowed) seems to be falling water. In 1.7.2, this is not the case. 1.7.9 seems to have introduced this bug, and is really quite annoying.
