When the statistics screen is small enough (no scrollbar) the tooltips of the column headers are still shown

The reason is not the one you mentioned I guess, the bug is that the whole column shows the title

It's not a matter of moving the mouse too fast.
If the statistics is small enough (no scrollbar) the tooltips of the icons of the column headers are shown in the empty space below the columns.

I think that I first found this in 1.7.5, but later got the results mixed up.
