[MC-56607] Item Frame No redstone signal?

not sure if is a bug because i tried 14w04 a long time ago before testing 14w21b. i couldnt find any changelist pertaining to removal of item frame's redstone signal.

is redstone signal removed from item frames using redstone torch?

Intended. Item frames for redstone signals use a comparator.

Item Frames do not produce a redstone signal, and never have, to my knowledge. However, a comparator can detect the rotation of the item in the frame and produce a redstone signal, and has been able to since 14w04a.
