[MC-56708] Item loss

When switching from minecraft Snapshot 14w21b to minecraft 1.7.9 in the same world, you will lose all items that you have on you AND have placed in any chests or in any animal inventory (horse armor and saddles)

Downgrading is not supported.

So that will happen with any versions if you change an older version???

Not neccessarily, but definitely in the case 1.8 (snapshot) --> 1.7
Downgrading may have always negative effects, such as new block types being erase etc,

This issue happened to me and I lost two stacks of diamonds and much more! How do I get this to be fixed?
